It's fair week! So much fun stuff to do with the family! Also so many places those carnies want you to waste your money- useless junk, but at that moment the kids have no idea how they ever lived without it. We decided to venture out at nighttime thinking the kids wouldn't see how much we deprive them, but we overlooked the fact that fluorescent lights make cheap crap shinier and even more appealing. Oh well, it was so worth it. Brian and I took Jackson and Maddi to the tractor pulls with a group of friends. My parents watched Jocelyn, she's not quite ready for the late nights and all the noise. I was a little nervous on how Maddi would do, but the minute we sat down and people around her were clapping as the trucks and drivers were announced she sat right down, bit into her corn dog and started clapping. Jackson had already moved two rows down to sit with the 'big kids'. Permagrin. By the time the pulls started Maddi was well adapted to what was going on and was yelling with the rest of the crowd! It was fun to hang out with the two of them, they both had to wear their new John Deere hats from Uncle James - just in case they saw a John Deere tractor, cause you know you can't see one without your hat! By the end of the night they had stomachs full of starch & grease, asleep in the backseat with 'cotton' dried all over their faces. Still grinning.

that's so fun! I love the shiny crap part.
When Q goes to Grandma's house, he wears a pink John Deere hat just like Maddie's...because that's what they have. :)
