This year for Thanksgiving we loaded the family in the car and drove to the wilderness of Nevada ... Cowboy Country. We visited some family friends there and had a great time! The trip was filled with excitement both on the drive and while we where there! Maddi got to go 'snowing' at a rest area. Which is a huge highlight for Maddi right now because, I hate to say it.... Caillou ( yes, the cartoon, aka my 1/2 hr. babysitter) goes to the snow and makes snow angels so Maddi really wants to see snow and do that too!
So, we checked that off the list and kept on our merry way! The kids did alright in the car, but lets just say road trip are not Jocelyn's thing. Maybe someday. When we where almost there our tire pressure light went off. Oh, great. I tell Kohrs not to worry this must be what happens when you're in the altitude and the weather gets cooler. The tires air pressure fluctuates ... right? Haha! I so know what I was talking about and frusterated that Brian was worried. Well, um, our car got an early Christmas present this year! Yay! Two new tires! The other two will have to come after Christmas ... after we've finished spending our extra cash on our adorable, but deprived children.

Anyways, Jocelyn looks priceless, huh? but back to Thanksgiving. We got to their house that night; said hello!, were shown the bunkhouse, b.s'ed for a while, went to bed and in the morning woke up and saw what Nevada Ranchin' is all about...
Gorgeous! All the guys went with Mike to track a cougar and us ladies prepared the Thanksgiving dinner. There was more than enough food, which makes for some great Thanksgiving Casserole leftovers! It was such fun and relaxing day! Jackson found a new friend (Drew) and they played outside almost all day. They were exploring and 'driving' the forklift, jumping on the trampoline, and skating on the ice! They stopped long enough for a quick picture...
All in all it was a great Thanksgiving and so fun to check out Nevada! We would definately love to go visit again sometime!
